Composition
Looking at composition, there are several techniques used in concept art to create aesthetically pleasing works,
Example: this work is concept art for final fantasy XV
The Cross
The cross creates dynamic symmetry in the image showing 'opposing force', This image has Dark details on a largely light background on the top half and light details on a largely dark background. I makes the image stand out
Iconic
Iconic composition is made with the grid left, many of the details and lines match with the grid, it makes a dramatic symetrical image
Example: Attack on cat by Inshoo
Line and light are used to make the cat in this picture the focus, the light source shine over only the cat.
